Applywise helps you find jobs, tailor your CV, prepare for interviews and track applications. It is built so that your information stays with you.
What we collect
Nothing on our own servers. Applywise has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. We do not sell or share personal data.
Where your data is kept
Everything you add (your profile, CVs, documents, applications, notes and settings) is stored only on your device, in your browser's own storage for this app. It stays there until you delete it. You can export a backup file and import it on another device from Settings.
Services your device talks to
Some features need other services. Your device contacts them directly; Applywise does not pass your data through a server of its own.
- Job searches. When you press Find jobs, your device asks public job sources for current openings: The Muse, company careers pages hosted on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters, Remotive and Jobicy. They receive your search words and country, not your CV.
- AI features (optional). Tailoring, letters and interview practice use the AI engine you choose in Settings. The text needed for that task (for example your CV text and the job advert) is sent to that engine: Google Gemini with your own free key, Puter, or Chrome's built-in AI, which runs on your own computer. Their own privacy policies apply. If you don't choose an engine, nothing is sent.
- Links you open. One-click searches open sites such as LinkedIn or Indeed in your browser. What happens there is covered by those sites' policies.
- Fonts, code libraries and photos load from Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsDelivr and Unsplash (free-licence photos). Like any website, these servers see your device's IP address. They are not told which page you are on, and nothing you type is sent to them.
Deleting your data
Open Settings and choose "Delete all my data" to erase everything Applywise stored on this device. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser's site data does the same.
Children
Applywise is meant for people looking for work and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
